Concrete Night premieres at Toronto International Film Festival’s Masters Series

Feature film CONCRETE NIGHT directed by veteran filmmaker Pirjo Honkasalo and produced by Bufo will have its world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival. The film will be screened in the prestigious Masters Series together with 10 other films.

“Masters” presents every year the latest films from the world’s most influental arthouse directors. Previous years the series has presented works from such by_102filmmakers as Bernando Bertolucci, Abbas Kiarostami and Michael Haneke.

Toronto International Film Festival is one of the most influental film festivals in the world in addition to Berlin, Venice and Cannes. The festival will be organised in Toronto, Canada from 5th to 15th September.

After Toronto Concrete Night will start an active festival circuit around the world. The film will receive its national premiere at Helsinki International Film Festival Love and Anarchy on September 22nd. The theatrical release in Finland will be on November 1st.

Concrete Night marks director Pirjo’s Honkasalo’s return to fiction, following years of internationally acclaimed documentaries such as The 3 Rooms of Melancholia.
