Bufo will start shooting Akseli Tuomivaara‘s feature film Korso next April in the Helsinki area in Finland. The film tells about Markus, 20, who dreams of becoming a street ball star in New York, but spends his days in his home suburb Korso playing ball with his friends in an old warehouse – and drinking. When Markus’s little sister Heta brings a black guy Jojo home Markus’s dream is put to test. He risks everything to prove that his dream is not ridiculous. The film is a co-production between Bufo and Tuffi Films. The film is Tuomivaara’s first feature and it is written by Kirsikka Saari and Jenni Toivoniemi, whose short film The Date was awarded in Sundance earlier this year.
