The Innocents, writer-director Eskil Vogt’s brand new thriller co-produced by Bufo, has been selected to compete in Cannes’ Official Section Un Certain Regard.

Set in a peaceful suburb in Oslo, The Innocents follows four children who become friends during the summer holidays. After discovering their hidden powers, their innocent play takes a dark turn and horrific things begin to happen.

Finnish talent is bringing their best to the production: Salla Yli-Luopa is the make-up designer, Pessi Levanto composer and Heikki Kossi the foley artist of the film.

The Innocents is co-produced by Zentropa Sweden, Bufo, Denmark’s Snowglobe and France’s Logical Pictures. The film will have its premiere in Finnish cinemas later.
