Goodbye Soviet Union is a humoristic coming-of-age story about Johannes, who is born prematurely to a young single mother, and about his destiny to be always separated from his loved ones. It’s a story about yearning for a mother and searching for friendship and acceptance in a society that is collapsing under Perestroika.
