Concrete Night wins at Pula Film Festival

Pula Film Festival, one of Croatia’s most important film events, finished last Saturday with the awards ceremony and the main prize of the international programme going to Concrete Night. The jury stated that the Golden Arena award was awarded for the film ‘for successfully creating a unique atmosphere in a poetic and visually impressive manner.’

Concrete Night’s Jari Virman awarded at European Cinema Festival

Actor Jari Virman has been awarded from his supporting role in Concrete Night at European Cinema Festival in Lecce, Italy. The festival, organised now for its 15th time, awarded him with the Officine Lab Award to the Best not leading Actor prize. Read more about the festival awards from here.

Korso selected to Edinburgh Film Festival’s Teen Spirit programme

Youth film Korso, a debut feature by Akseli Tuomivaara will have its world premiere at Edinburgh Film Festival. The film will be screened in the new Teen Spirit programme presenting 6 feature and 6 short films aimed at the 15- 26 year old audience. The 68th edition of the festival will take place on June 19th-28th.

Kilpisjärvellä wins in Edith-Russ-Haus Awards for Emerging Media Artists 2014

Kilpisjärvellä, a fulldome film directed by Axel Straschnoy and produced by Bufo, has been presented a Edith-Russ-Haus Award for Emerging Media Artists 2014. The film receives a prize money of 3000 euros as well as participation in the forthcoming Ehdit-Russ-Haus Media Art exhibition opening on September 18th in Oldenburg, Germany. Concrete Night to compete for the Dragon Award at GIFF
